PRESENTS THE 2021 FUN RUN
The Run For Your Life race is a fund raiser for the Edgecombe Cancer Support Foundation Inc. It's Mission is to financially assist residents of Edgecombe County actively being treated for cancer.

Many people assume that the needs of cancer patients are being completely met. However, given the changing times and the rising cost of health insurance, treatment costs, and cost of living increases, there are a great number of cancer patients who are in need financially.
The Cancer Fund will strive to assist those needs when it comes to financial concerns. 100% of the money raised will go towards Cancer patients of Edgecombe County.
The fund is administered by a group of volunteers dedicated to helping our friends and neighbors diagnosed with cancer.
Long-term mission is to become a leading resource in raising awareness and to establish a self-perpetuating long-term fund that will assist those patients who are diagnosed with cancer in Edgecombe County.

ECSF also runs a local school program called the Run To Live. We teach Middle School children about Cancer in Edgecombe County and ways to prevent it. They learn about running and train for the 5K. Local volunteers teach them about nutrition, exercise, skin cancer, HPV vaccines, and living a healthy lifestyle. Entry to the 5K and free running shoes are provided. Funds come ECSF and donors. Pfizer has directly supported the program over the last 2 yrs.
